My Works

When I work on an illustration, I feel immersed in my world.
Even though I stay anchored in reality, I manage to create fantastic realms where colors take over, and I write the rules dictated by my imagination. If the illustration needs to be realistic, my desk is piled with books on the subject I’m addressing, and I read everything I can before creating the artwork, consulting as many sources as possible.
With my characters, “Igattimatti“, on the other hand, I enjoy blending fantasy and reality, making the boundaries between the two fluid. I love reading, and if I have to illustrate a young adult novel or a fairy tale, I always ask to read the text to create the world told by the author – not just how I see it, but by searching for clues within the words that indicate their vision.
